The Healthy Dogma story started in the farmhouse kitchen of our founders, Tom and Mary Beth. When their beloved dog Rocky was diagnosed with cancer, they were determined to give him the best care possible. Unable to find suitable food for dogs battling serious illness, they took matters into their own hands. They crafted the most wholesome, clean ingredient meals for Rocky, allowing him to defy the odds and enjoy several years of health beyond his prognosis. From that labor of love, PetMix—Healthy Dogma’s flagship product—was born, laying the foundation for our mission of providing wholesome nutrition to every dog.

Today, more than 15 years later, Healthy Dogma remains a family-owned and operated business, proud to call Michigan home; although the mission has been passed on to a new ownership family. From our facility just outside the Motor City, we craft every batch of clean, natural pet food with the same care and dedication that started it all. Nearly all of our ingredients are sourced in the USA, and every product is hand-packed to ensure consistency and quality.

Of all types of dog food, dehydrated dog food is one of the safest options available.
